Members and organizations of the community have been displaying various items in the display case since July 2004, and the topics have changed monthly. Suggestions for topics are always welcomed as are helpful volunteers.
Many topics have been displayed over the years. Some examples are:
- School memories
- Churches
- State Fair
- Antique items
- Local clubs
- Veterans
- Scouts
- 4H Groups
- Service Organizations
- Local History Articles
The display case is the taller one on the right upon entering the library. The dimensions of the case are: 46” wide, 67” high and 14” deep. There are 3 adjustable (and removable) glass shelves, plus the bottom shelf where a shelf can be laid if not needed. The case is always locked to protect the displays. The librarian keeps the key.
It is a policy that neither the Sussex County Library System nor the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library provide insurance coverage for the contents on loan.
